Sweet and Sour Tuna Steak with sesame seeds – a delicious way to cook fresh tuna!
- 180 g Tuna steak
- 20 g Spring onion
- 20 g Thin carrot strips
- 20 g Leek strips
- 10 g Zucchini strips
- 10 g Bean shoots
- 10 g Toasted sesame seeds
- 5 ml Hoisin sauce
- 5 ml Lemon juice
- 5 ml Soya sauce
- 5 ml Olive oil
- 4 g Salt
- 4 g Pepper
- 1/2 Lime
1.Take your tuna steak out of the fridge 30 minutes before cooking, for it to reach room temperature.
2.Mix together the hoisin sauce, lemon juice and soya sauce, to make a marinade. Pour the marinade over the tuna steak and leave to marinate for 20 minutes.
3.Preheat a pan, add the olive oil, and sear the tuna
in the hot oil for 1 minute on each side.
4.Remove the tuna steak from the pan and set aside
for 4 minutes.
5.Add the olive oil to a new pan, and sauté all the vegetables. Add the remaining tuna marinade over
the vegetables and season with the salt and pepper.
6.Roll the tuna in the sesame seeds and plate. To finish off the dish, squeeze the lime over the meal. Have fun!
