Loews Regency Hotel, the landmark hotel in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, reopened its doors following a comprehensive $100 million renovation on January 16, 2014. The reopening of the flagship property also ushered in a new era for the original New York City ‘Power Breakfast.’

The redesign of the hotel represents the dynamic vision of Jonathan Tisch, Chairman of Loews Hotels & Co., and features 379 luxury guestrooms, including 58 suites, and four private meeting spaces.Situated on the corner of Park Avenue and 61st Street in Midtown Manhattan, the hotel is conveniently located for business and leisure travelers alike, and just steps away from Central Park, Madison Avenue, and Museum Mile.

Each of the stunning guestrooms and suites have been thoughtfully designed with the traveler’s needs top of mind. Amenities include Frette linens and bathrobes, state-of- the-art technology, including smart televisions with movies on demand, complimentary high-speed Internet access, personalized temperature control, built-in bedside and desk power outlets and electronic window shades. Individually designed with their own unique charm and character, the Terrace/Atrium Suites range from 950 square feet to 1,350 square feet, and are perfect for family stays, extended stays and small events. Three out of the four suites offer larger terraces, with the fourth offering its own private atrium.

Loews Regency offers six designer-inspired Signature Suites, each boasting their own character and aesthetic for a truly individual experience. Created by New York City’s finest talents, the suites debuted in November 2014, marking the culmination of the hotel’s transformation earlier that year. T h e s u i t e s range in size from 700 square feet to 1,550 square feet, with views over Park Avenue, 61st Street and the New York City skyline.

The Signature Suites are anchored by the Nate Berkus Apartment on the 21st floor. The spacious, 1,000 square foot suite is an oasis of style and comfort with a formal living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom and balcony.

Meyer Davis Studio Inc. designed the Uptown Bohemian Suite, inspired by the eclectic aesthetic of SoHo and the clean lines of Chelsea, and the Bespoke Suite, which draws its inspiration from New York City’s vibrant fashion industry. Rottet Studio designed The Grand Suites, two suites inspired by cultural icon Marilyn Monroe. The Glamour Suite is an interpretation of what might have been Marilyn’s Park Avenue pied-a- terre, while the Pop Art Suite plays off her immortalization by pop artist Andy Warhol. Haynes-Roberts, Inc. designed the Classic 1970s Apartment with a classic, sophisticated a luxurious aesthetic, inspired by the glamorous apartments of Milan from the 1970s.

Loews Regency’s signature restaurant and dining concept, The Regency Bar & Grill, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the week and brunch on weekends. Combining the old and the new, the hotel’s signature restaurant once again reclaims its place as the pinnacle for the New York ‘Power Breakfast,’ having introduced the concept in 1975.

Rolling out nationally this year across the brand, Flavor by Loews Hotels is built on partnerships with artisan food & beverage vendors ranging from bakers to ice cream makers. The indigenous products are showcased on menus across the brand’s portfolio, enabling guests to experience a taste of the destination without ever having to step off property. Loews Hotels is one of the first hotel brands to embrace local partnerships on a national scale, satisfying guests’ desires to immerse themselves in the destinations — bite-by-bite and sip-by-sip. 

The Flavor by Loews Hotels program was born at Loews Miami Beach Hotel, which perfectly captures the iconic culture of Miami through its partnerships with an amazing cast of the city’s finest food & beverage purveyors, including Azúcar Ice Cream, Zak the Baker, Miami Club Rum and more. Based on the success of Flavor Miami, all Loews Hotels from coast-to-coast are now introducing the best of their destination’s food and drink artisans, so guests can truly dine like a local.

At the Loews Regency New York Hotel, guests will enjoy the following Flavor by Loews Hotels offerings:

  • Hand-cut citrus peels and hand-cracked juniper makes Brooklyn Gin the stand out spirit at The Regency Bar & Grill.  Guests of the restaurant and bar can choose from three signature cocktails – a Negroni, Brooklyn Gin Martini and the Bee’s Knees, a lemon infused cocktail that highlights the citrus flavor notes from the gin. For hotel guests who prefer to sip and stay, a special Brooklyn Gin bottled cocktail menu will be available on the in-room dining menus. 
  • Made using the finest ingredients, Upper East Side café, Bon Vivant, brings beautiful, melt-in-your-mouth petit four cakes to the hotel in four distinct flavors – Bourbon Vanilla, Lavender Bloom, Coffee Cream and Rose Petal. Available as dessert flights at the Regency Bar & Grill and in-room dining, these petit four cakes are the perfect dessert to satisfy your sweet tooth.
  • Guests will enjoy pure ingredients mixed together in thoughtful and creative ways from West Village bakery, Mah Ze Dahr. Founded by Umber Ahmad, Umber’s unique recipes become a part of each guest’s memory through her #1 Rated Heavenly Cheesecake, according to New York Magazine, seasonal tarts, and delicious homemade cookie plate, all available at The Regency Bar & Grill.
  • What says New York more than pizza? The Regency Bar & Grill have introduced two exclusive pizzas, made with charcoal crust from Olivella Bread. The Truffle Pizza topped with homemade mozzarella cheese, porcini mushrooms and truffle oil and a Diavolo Pizza with spicy pepperoni and nduya. Both are fashioned atop charcoal dough from the quintessential New York pizza creator, whose Naples, Italy-born founder Salvatore Olivella has made a name for himself through consultations with top New York City pizza spots as well as ownership in restaurants in the tri-state area and Dallas. “New York City is home to the dining obsessed searching for the next big thing, and we believe Flavor by Loews Hotels will be just that,” said Executive Chef Catherine Medrano. “Our team was strategic in selecting our four partners as New York is home to some of the best pizza, cheesecake, gin and specialty cakes in the world.
