SOUS CHEF RICHID AGOURAY

It is as a simple kitchen hand that Rachid Agouray joined La Mamounia team in 1988.

Now, 26 years later he has come a long way from the days of washing dishes. Today, Rachid is the Sous Chef Executif in charge of the Moroccan restaurant at La Mamounia.

Chef’s patience & commitment has seen him being trained at prestigious and various signature venues such as  “ L’Hôtel du Palais” in Biarritz, the “Cipriani”Hotel in Venise and the “ Martinez” in Cannes. Before the Moroccan Restaurant, he was at the head of the Italian restaurant and of the Buffet by the pool before the renovation.Attracted by cooking since his childhood, it was from his mother that he learned the rudiments of his craft.

Le Marocain is the perfect platform for Chef to show of his culinary prowess.His experience offers the opportunity to display a wide variety of both traditional dishes and revisited Moroccan cuisine.Traditional foods are revised based with contemporary and unique products like the famous pastilla with lobster and spinach. Chef Rachid Agouray is certainly a chef who never ceases to surprise with originality and creativity.
