2. Clarens Craft Beer Festival
For the 6th time, South Africa’s favourite breweries will descend on the tranquil town of Clarens for a weekend of ‘malted delight’. It is your chance to taste and experience the best of handcrafted beers from all across the country. The beautiful sedtting, live entertainment and all the bewskies you heart desires, this one is perfect for beer lovers from across the country.
Set over the weekend of the 24th and 25th of February 2017, the festival will feature 22 top brewers with over 120 distinguished blends of their seasoned favourites and traditional brews and ciders to tantalize the taste buds of both seasoned connoisseurs and novices alike. Festival goers will have the unique opportunity to meet with each brewer, swap trade secrets and share their passion for SA’s latest craze, craft brew.

Gourmet food trucks will ensure that visitors have great food options to snack on throughout the day. People are encouraged to bring picnic blankets, deck chairs and their four-legged-children on leash.
Feel free to bring the little ones with as there is also a dedicated child minding area for them to enjoy with an assortment of entertainment, snacks and non-alcoholic drinks available within their dedicated area at the festival.

3. Cape Town Prawn Festival
One of the highlights of the “Summer Champion Series” series. A highlight on any punters calendar. So, if you’re into horse racing and also happen to love prawns, this one is for you. Or just go for the prawns, either way it’s a great day out. Entertainment is also great with performances by local artists and lots to do for the kiddies, like face painting and magic shows amongst others. (Kenilworth Racecourse)
Some might consider the pairing of prawns with galloping thoroughbreds to be strange, however, the Cape Town Prawn festival has cemented itself into a must-do event for the Summertime. If you’re a horse racing enthusiast with a passion for seafood, then make your way to Kenilworth Racecourse on the 25th February 2017.
Over the last couple years, The Cape Town Prawn Festival has formed part of ‘Summer of Champion Series’ – a highlight on any race-goer’s social calendar. Spectators can tuck into platefuls of fresh prawns while placing bets on the outcome of the Grade Three Vasco Prix Du Cap and the Grade Three Chairman’s Cup.
Delicious prawns are served with your choice of starch, either chips or rice. Accompany your seafood with a selection of sauces – peri-peri, lemon butter or garlic butter. There will also be other fare available for those who don’t enjoy seafood. Apart from the racing and indulging, there will be live entertainment to add on to the festivities – ease into the racing spirit with music performances by local artists. The little ones can also partake in special activities to keep them entertained throughout the day. Kiddies Entertainment includes face painting, colouring in, a story corner, magic shows and much more!
Entry to the event is free and gates will be open from 11:00 to 19:00.
4. Decorex Durban
