1. Hollywood Legend Morgan Freeman is to become the new brand ambassador for Turkish Airlines

The Turkish flag-carrier announced that Freeman will be its new face to represent the brand in the United States. A commercial featuring Freeman – filming today in Los Angeles will be aired during the Super Bowl on February 5th. Established in 1933 with a fleet of five aircraft, Star Alliance member Turkish Airlines is a four-star airline today with a fleet of 334 aircraft flying to 292 destinations worldwide with 243 international and 49 domestic.


 2.Seaweed-infused PJ’s On Emirates

 It’s the little things that make the biggest difference and Emirates has once again proven why so many of us choose make Emirates our first choice for air travel.  Their brand-new perk for first class passengers: seaweed-infused pyjamas are designed to moisturise your skin while keeping you comfy on that long haul flight. Dubbed “the world’s first moisturising lounge wear designed for an airline,” the pyjamas are created with something called “Hydra Active Microcapsule Technology.” Basically the fabric was pressed with “billions of capsules” to make it release “naturally-moisturising sea kelp during movement.” So even passengers who are stuck on a plane with re-circulating air for hours can leave the aircraft feeling more refreshed than when they boarded. If you choose to wear the luxury pj’s after the flight your skin will continue to be moisturised for up to ten washes, as the capsules can last that long.In addition to the sexy sleepwear the airline also provides  ”sheep-skin like” blankets, slippers and an eyemask. If you’re lucky enough to be in First Class that is. The onboard “shower spa” provides Bulgari amenity kits, which include seaweed skincare products, combined with the matching pj’s, your onboard sleep never felt quite this good before.There are eight different leather options of the amenity kits and all first class passengers on overnight long-haul flights can have the pleasure of having one.


 3. Angelina Jolie the new face of Guerlain Perfumes

 Guerlain, the French beauty brand established in 1828, is honoured to announce that Angelina Jolie is the icon of its latest fragrance for women. “We create perfumes for the women we admire” said Jacques Guerlain, creator of mythical fragrances such as Shalimar, L’Heure Bleue and Mitsouko.Thierry Wasser, Guerlain’s Master Perfumer, drew his inspiration from Angelina Jolie to create a fragrance expressing the idea of the “notes of a woman”: the choices, emotions and dreams that embody modern femininity. The partnership between Angelina and Guerlain was agreed in Cambodia in December 2015, where she was directing her film First They Killed My Father. It has its roots, however, in Angelina’s childhood memory of her own mother’s love of a Guerlain powder. Angelina Jolie is a filmmaker, Special Envoy of the UN Refugee Agency and co-founder of the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative. She has donated her entire salary from the Guerlain campaign to charity. The new scent, Mon Guerlain, launches in South Africa in March.


4. Morocco Speeds Ahead

Morocco is set to be the first country in Africa to introduce high speed trains to their transport system. The flagship new line will connect Tangier and Casablanca sometime in 2018 cutting the journey time between the cities by more than half while reaching speeds of up to 322km/h, double the speed of South Africa’s Gautrain, launched in 2012, The $2 billion project has been in development for a decade, funded by the governments of Morocco, France, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the UAE. King Mohammed VI and the Moroccan government expect the trains to deliver wealth and prestige for the country. The trains of choice are the double decker  French made TGV’s which are currently being tested ahead of the launch.
